About The Role :
Conduct routine inspections of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, extinguishers, and emergency lighting, to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fire protection equipment as needed to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency situations, assisting with evacuations and implementing fire safety procedures as required.
Conduct fire safety training sessions for hotel staff, educating them on proper procedures for fire prevention, evacuation, and emergency response.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and training sessions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as necessary for specialized inspections, repairs, or installations.
Stay informed about updates to fire safety codes, regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure that the hotel remains in compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in fire protection or a related field preferred.
Prior experience working with fire protection systems and equipment, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
Strong understanding of fire safety principles, codes, and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire protection systems.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey fire safety information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
Additional Information
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or a luxury service environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge of the local area and its attractions is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management systems.
