What would you do? "Position Overview: The Engineering Segment Lead - INDIA position is available in our service group aimed at providing professional support to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracting companies in the oil & gas industry. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead and coordinate a section of engineering team. You will oversee a particular segment (Civil, Piping or Instrumentation) operations, projects, and personnel, while also interfacing with our home office in Italy, where our clients reside. As an Engineering Segment Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the engineering activities across multiple locations, ensuring seamless collaboration, efficient project execution, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Segment of Engineering Tower, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to the team.

Define the organization of the Segment and the manpower needs, interfacing with the overall Engineering Lead to agree the recruitment plans, defining specific needs, and managing the selection and recruitment processes, liaising with the HR Department.

Oversee the execution of engineering projects in your domain, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and project objectives.

Serve as the primary point of contact and interface with our domain specific engineering team in the Italian home office, collaborating closely with the client to understand project requirements, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely project deliverables.

Develop and implement Tower strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with company vision and client expectations.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the department, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and professional development.

Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, software, and hardware, to ensure optimal project delivery. "What are we looking for? "

Understanding of HSE regulations and their application in engineering practices for onshore and offshore projects.

Willingness to travel to project sites and onshore locations as required.

Proficiency in written and spoken English.

As the Engineering Segment Lead INDIA, you will play a critical role in coordinating and leading a multi-site engineering team responsible for design engineering services. Your strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and ability to manage multiple locations will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of projects and delivering high-quality solutions.

Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field. A master s degree is a plus.

Extensive experience (at least 12 years) in the engineering segment, with a focus on one of the core areas - civil, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.

Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, standards, and best practices.

Proven track record of successfully leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams across multiple sites.

Good knowledge of 3D modeling and engineering collaborative platforms.

Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing engineering activities for oil & gas projects.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and efficient engineering solutions.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Familiarity with project management principles and practices.

Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to civil, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, promoting continuous learning and skill development.

Review and approve engineering deliverables as part of your tower.

Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations related to design and engineering.

Collaborate with other departments, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of project activities.

Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, and resource utilization, taking corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success.

Conduct regular project reviews, assessing performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective measures.

Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards in design and construction.

Address technical issues and provide solutions during the design, procurement, and construction phases.

Interface with vendors for procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring technical and commercial compliance.

Oversee contractor activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and project requirements.

Ensure all design and installation practices adhere to safety standards and regulations.

Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for potential hazards.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing technical support.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in engineering practices.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Foster effective communication channels with the home office in Italy, providing regular updates, reports, and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
