Brand Head
Location: Delhi NCR
Reports to: CEO
Experience: 15 Yrs experience into brand management with strong background of Product with proven P&L Management skills.
Job Profile:
- Responsible for overall business management of Business Unit in India through -
- P&L management with control & Coordination with Sales, Product, planning, merchandising, brand, marketing and Operations functions
- Drive sustainable revenue growth, achieve budgeted gross profits, manage inventory turns and working capital
- Creating monthly and yearly business plans and targets for the brand
- Set budgets for buying and planning; compile feedback on product performance; map competition, prices / products and provide quantitative & qualitative inputs.
- Ensure adherence to targets through maximizing sales and managing promotions; Review and track category and sub-category sell-through
Product Management:
- Strategizing the overall product roadmap to support aggressive growth plans based on analysis of consumer demand dynamics and market & competition dynamics
- Establishing long term goals for the product while keeping in mind short term objectives that will help achieve those goals
- Supporting the Sales team with appropriate launch of new products, both analogue and smart
- Working closely with cross functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Production and Supply Chain teams for launch of new products, product segmentation for different channels, build up product stories, managing product lifecycle, managing margins, managing inventory, controlling and improving product costing, development and procurement of new products - both analogue and smart, training of teams etc.
- Managing teams of product managers, merchandisers, designers, developers, vendor management etc.
- Analyzing customer feedback in order to identify areas where improvements can be made to existing products or new products can be developed
- Brainstorming new product ideas and concepts with a team of designers, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Developing detailed specifications and plans for new products, including prototypes or models to test the design concept
- Managing budgets for new product development projects and ensuring that all costs are within the specified limits
- Researching emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for growth within an industry
- Evaluating the success of new products based on performance metrics such as sales volume, margin management, and customer satisfaction levels
Buying & Merchandising:
- Brand range architecture finalization - Product mix & Price mix based on trend forecast and market/customer needs.
Season launch management:
- Market research & competition analysis - Current trend, customer behavior, Product offering, price strategy and future trends forecast (Local trending & benchmark brands review).
- Finalizing season buy plan in accordance with planned budget achievement and business growth.
- Market and Vendor visits to select and assemble a new collection of products.
- Stock allocation review with Sales teams.
- Order & Vendor management - Costing, End to end merchandise follow up and getting on time deliveries.
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products.
- Liaising with other departments within the organization to ensure proper launch.
- Accomplishing a healthy Sell-Through for all Groups, Sub-Groups & Sub-Classes combined.
Budget and target achievement:
- Maintain healthy Stock-Cover & avoid opportunity loss.
- Identifying fast / slow moving stocks and making strategies with sales teams to liquidate the same.
Team Management:
- Mentoring and coaching team members.
- Work closely with team, monitor and evaluate the performance of team to ensure achievement of targets.
- Ensure appropriate training and development for team member on functional & behavioral areas.
- Undertake performance of direct reportees and strengthen their performance through constructive feedback.
