Job description
Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)/Territory Sales Manager (TSM)
Location: Vijawada, Vizag, Rajahmundry, Nellore, Kurnool,, Hyderabad, Khammam, Warangal, Mahaboobnagar. Product Division- Professional lightning, Fan, Water Heaters, Project Sales, E REO, Rural Sales, Urban Sales, Semi- Urban Sales, Home Art, Consumer Lightning.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Target Achievement:
Drive the achievement of primary and secondary sales targets in the assigned area.
Monitor sales performance across the territory and take corrective actions to meet goals.
Team Leadership and Management:
Manage, mentor, and motivate Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) and Sales Officers to achieve sales objectives.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to the team.
Channel Development and Management:
Develop, nurture, and manage strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and channel partners.
Ensure the onboarding of new channel partners and address channel conflict, if any.
Oversee stock planning, order placement, and inventory control at the distributor level.
Market Intelligence and Strategy Execution:
Conduct market visits to identify trends, understand competition, and assess retailer/customer requirements.
Implement company sales strategies, trade promotions, and marketing campaigns effectively.
Customer Relationship Management:
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing issues, resolving disputes, and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Act as the point of escalation for unresolved complaints from distributors or retailers.
Sales Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare and present area performance reports, including sales, stock, and competition analysis.
Ensure compliance with company policies regarding pricing, credit limits, and collections.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Area sales target achievement (primary and secondary).
Growth in market share and coverage.
Performance of TSMs and channel partners.
Timely collections and distributor ROI management.
Successful execution of marketing strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business/Commerce or a related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in sales in FMEG/Electrical equipment/consumer durables industry.
