Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - If you have ample time to spare at their office then you can apply. I had a very unpleasant experience with them. HR Head scheduled my interview Since this was a 1:1 interview so I had to take a day's leave and come to their Head office from Jaipur. They asked me to fill out a 3-page form summarizing my career journey along with info like Current CTC & Expected CTC which I did. After that, there were 3 rounds from different stakeholders and then I was to have a final round with the founder. I was in the waiting lounge for 2 hrs and after waiting for this long I was told that he is busy and the final round will be rescheduled in a few days. After following up with them it was scheduled after 4 days and again I had to take leave all went well on the final day and I was told that I am shortlisted and HR Head will reach out to me for the final discussion. I waited for 2-3 weeks but that never happened and the ghosting started. All of a sudden after 2 months I received a call from their HR head who mentioned that I am finalized for the position but they don't have a budget, I asked him what's your budget, and I was shocked to hear the response, they were expecting me to join on a pay cut of 45%. Can you imagine someone moving from a Tier 2 city to a Metro city on a pay cut? Sounds funny Right? HR head mentioned that since they are a startup so they are running tight on the budget. All my life I have worked with startups so I know How it works. I clearly said No to their offer and raised my concern that If they had such a limited budget they shouldn't have gone ahead with my candidature as I had to take 2 unpaid leaves for this interview. Overall this was a very unpleasant experience for me. They should hire a proper HR who at least knows How the process works and How to do the negotiation.
