Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Regular hr questions like tell about ur self,hobbies,strengths,any team activities, about paper presented and questions on that, questions on leadership qualities, asked to talk about 'conservation of energy' for few minutes, asked abouts functions or events organised.

Experience: Questions related to courses of Design, MOS, TOM. It had tough MCQ’s based on formulae that had to be memorized and were calculation intensive.

Experience: it was a 45-minute round with questions about yourself, CPI and extra-curricular activities.

Experience: Questions based on resume, internship and 2nd and 3rd year related projects. Short discussion on Extra-curricular activities.

Experience: Basic aptitude questions with some application based questions which do not require any calculation. Second section tests the verbal ability of the student with few grammar based questions and few word analogy related.
Tips: Good practice of basic aptitude questions covering most of the topics and critical reasoning questions without using pen and paper will help a lot.If you are a voracious reader you need not worry for verbal section but if you hardly read then start reading from now and develop a habit.

Round: Interview
Experience: Be honest and answer the questions confidently. For all the questions I supported myself with good answers and some examples. For the question regarding my verbal ability in which I scored less marks I answered that I recognise that weakness and started reading newspapers and word power book.
Tips: Only confidence is the mantra for hr interview. Support your answer and stick to your answer. If possible give examples and be expressive.

Skill Tips: Showcase your strengths and make the interviewer ask what you want him to ask take him in your direction.

Round: Case Study Interview
Experience: No one would be eliminated in this round. They will provide you ample time - around 40-50 minutes to write a response on a case study. The topic would be new and unheard of, but you can think and write peacefully in that amount of time.
Tips: Make sure you highlight the points made and do remember them for the Group Discussion phase.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: One-third of the guys will get selected for the interviews from each group of 8-10 guys. The topic of the GD would be same as the case study. Now, its time for you to recall the points you made during the writing section. The GD will last for around 15-20 minutes.
Tips: Good communication skills, relaxed but expressive tone. Don’t be silent and try to speak up whenever you get a chance. Try to bring new air into the discussion and think from all the different perspectives. You should speak at least 2-3 times, even if you just say 1-2 sentences each time. That will do. They also individually ask each person to speak, specifically those who could not speak, but you had better not be that guy or girl. There is no need to fight for summarizing the GD. Try to show that you are involved throughout the GD.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There will be two guys, one from technical and the other HR. They both ask questions at the same time and they discuss among each other as well. They mostly try to detect any fraud or fake thing you did in your project or intern. All the technical questions come from your CV. So, your fate is kind of in your hands only.
Tips: Prepare hard for Projects, Internships etc. Don’t panic. They try to see how you react in a pressure situation and actually behave as if you are not impressing them. Just be calm and keep on speaking. If there is something you want to say and they interrupt you, its better you ask them to give you a chance to explain it in details. Do have a few questions in mind to ask them about your job profile and Wipro. That is the final nail in the coffin.

Skill Tips: A minimum CGPA of 8.0 was mentioned and later they relaxed it to 7.9. They were giving quite some importance to the Internships and Projects undertaken and were trying to judge if you actually did something new and genuine. They were dwelling deep into it. As I said, prepare well for them just like you prepare for BTech Project Viva. They do ask a lot of questions.HR questions should be prepared thoroughly. A background check of Wipro and IT sector companies is a must. Prepare well for group discussions. Try to get background information about the IT sector and the company. Prepare your CV thoroughly.

Round: Test
Experience: Deloitte selection procedure involves a written test which is
same as CAT format (certainly not that tough). Though I had not joined any test series to prepare for it, but I must strongly recommend that you should actually join a test series (provided by Career Launcher or
TIME). This test series will actually help you to synchronize your mind to the format and moreover it would help to refresh the question solving skills which you used to exercise while preparing for JEE.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: general topic is given (mostly it is as to how you would go for implementing a new type of technology in a company, and hence you all have to decide the stepwise procedure for the implementation), then whole of the group is called in presentation room where each one is told personally to speak about the same topic as that of GD. This constitutes
second round. Finally, if you clear it, you get to face the interviews.
Tips: From now onwards, start reading newspaper daily. Just give at least one hour reading the editorials from newspaper and make it your habit. Not only for GD's, but for life in general, its very important that you should have a certain view about things happening around you and in the world and newspapers are the best thing which help you form your views and also know about the expert opinions on day to day topics. So, make sure that you read newspaper daily.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: For interview, main thing is that you should be well conversed about everything you have mentioned on your resume. So, before you go for any interview, just make sure that you can speak about for 5 minutes on
every single thing in resume. Deloitte is a company which is open for all the btech students and hence its mainly looking for the students who have a right attitude and are good at their interests.
Tips: have a perfect set of communication skills. I had not done
any special type of preparations for the interview or group discussions but all these skills actually developed during these years. I would advise that in order to gain more confidence at speaking, you should start taking challenges from now on and should actively participate in any sort of debates and GD.

College Name: IIT Roorkee

Round: Test
Experience: One written test. It contains four sections. Each section is of 15 minutes duration.
Tips: Prepare for general aptitude and learn the basics of C, C++ and Java.
Duration: 60 minutes

Round: HR Interview
Experience: General HR round questions were asked.
Tips: You must show your confidence and maintain eye contact with the interviewer.

General Tips: Brush up all the basics of your core subjects.

Experience: The questions were of this type-


1. Given a tree and all the leaf nodes form a double linked list ( complete tree is given ). How do you find the height of the tree?
2. an array of negative and positive numbers are given. find all contiguous subsets whose sum is equal to zero.

Round: Test
Experience: The difficulty level went up, with questions like-


1. Find Longest Increasing sequence subject to some constraints.
2. An array is given of size n and the elements are in the range 1 to n. Some elements are missing and some are repeated. Find the missing elements and find frequency of all the repeated elements.
3. Three arrays A, B, C. find subset a in A, b in B, c in C such that a + b + c = 0

Round: Test
Experience: Really tough test, with questions like-


1. A tree is given, make a linked list of leaves.
2. for amazon online store what data-structure is used. That is hierarchical structure
3. Asked about make file. How do you club into a single object file.

General Tips: Before making the shortlist, you'll have to sit for an Online written test. The test consists of two parts.
One part will concentrate on aptitude and output of C programs.
1. aptitude, 2. C aptitude, 3. Operating Systems and Time complexities etc.,
Second part will be coding Questions
1. One Question on Trees - definitely
2. One more simple questions on string manipulation

Experience: Got selected because I was relating my experience with the job profile. And knew financials well.

General Tips: Interview question was mainly to gauge my knowledge about insurance sector. I had little idea about the sector but a little research prior to the interview helps. When you are over with the gd/ hr interview and you think there is a good chance of clearing it then make sure u get some knowledge about sector and the company .Read about the sector well and the company as well.
