Best answer to give to HR on why am I on notice!
Hi, I have recently left my job and on my notice with 20 days pending. While giving interviews, when the HR asks me what's the notice I say it's 30 days (officially 60 days). But since only 20 days are left, is it better to tell them outright that I'm on notice or wait for them to ask? 1 or 2 replies I have thought of if they ask why I am already on notice is - "In my current role I was not able to leverage and improve my current skills optimally and it was detrimental to my career path of working towards Product from Business Analyst. With the decision to change company and since I have given quite a few interviews in the last 1.5 months, I decided to put down my papers in order to mitigate the risk of not getting an offer due to a longer notice period." I would like some reviews or feedback on this or is there a better answer to give so that I don't lose much leverage during the interview process. Thanks! P.S. This is for a job in India.

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - If you are going for Interview in J&F as Fresher then its very difficult because its product based team and they dont usually hire from normal colleges. They hire from top tier colleges in NCR like IIT delhi and DCE. So even if you get selected you have long way to go for conversion. They do first round based on Aptitude and then give you one research task that you need to bring solution and based on your provided approach only you have chance for next step in technical discussion.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: TECHNICAL ROUND TEST
Experience: A 45 mins round which consisted of 30 mins of core questions and 15 mins of data structures.  It was a mix of test on our knowledge .

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Most of the questions were based on general knowledge and many of them were from the resume provides by me

General Tips: It is always advisable to be prepared with certain set of general questions which make it easier to answer.
Skill Tips: Focus on your Study.. Revise the subject that you have studied at the time of Interview

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Questions were on Aptitude, English, Probability, Permutations andCombinations and Programming (C, C++). NO Group Discussion was held.Candidates were shortlisted on the basis of their test scores.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Total time of this round was 45 minutes.First 30 minutes, questions on core programming were asked and in the remaining 15 minutes questions were asked on data structures.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: This was a 5 minute round where questions were put up, some based on the resume and other were general questions.

Skills: Knowledge in MATLAB.
