Best answer to give to HR on why am I on notice!
Hi, I have recently left my job and on my notice with 20 days pending. While giving interviews, when the HR asks me what's the notice I say it's 30 days (officially 60 days). But since only 20 days are left, is it better to tell them outright that I'm on notice or wait for them to ask?
1 or 2 replies I have thought of if they ask why I am already on notice is - "In my current role I was not able to leverage and improve my current skills optimally and it was detrimental to my career path of working towards Product from Business Analyst. With the decision to change company and since I have given quite a few interviews in the last 1.5 months, I decided to put down my papers in order to mitigate the risk of not getting an offer due to a longer notice period."
I would like some reviews or feedback on this or is there a better answer to give so that I don't lose much leverage during the interview process.
Thanks!
P.S. This is for a job in India.
