Nokia Networks Interview Questions, Process, and Tips for Freshers

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Be confident ,u know the answer or not but not loose your confidence

Round: Test
Experience: Round one was written exam which consist of some 45 technical question ( mostly from B-tech subjects) and 30 Aptitude question (covering basic Quant, Verbal, and RC). Duration of exam was 2 hours though there were varieties of questions but most of them were covering basic knowledge.
Tips: Go through basics of B-tech Subjects like Digital Electronics , Communications System (Analog & Digital), Antenna Systems, Signals and Systems etc.
For Non Technical Questions Quant was easy so RS Aggarwal is sufficient for that, as far as Verbal and RC is concerned any online material practice will do the Job.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Just like any other interview it started with similar question " tell me about yourself" " Why Telecom' :Why Nokia Networks" Most of the Question were based on B-tech subjects and Final year project some of the questions are as follow
-Which is your favorite subject ( I told Digital Electronics) , than he asked few question form that Like Mux/Demux , Encoder/Decoder Registers etc.
-There were few question based on antenna systems Like " what is antenna gain, What do typical Value of antenna gain in GSM, difference between dB and dBm.
-There were few question on GSM also like GSM architecture and its interfaces, difference between GSM and CDMA , GSM Frequency range, FM frequency Range, Some conceptual question based on Radio Frequency and its propagation etc etc..
Tips: Prepare well for everything that is written in CV plus Some of B-tech Subjects. Give special attention to question like: Why this company , also go through company detail about its Vision/Mission etc.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Most of the question were related to Personnel detail , Hobby, Why this Organisation, Relocation constraint etc. This was very easy round
Tips: Be Cool and Calm you have already won the most important battle (technical round) . This round will be cool.:)

Skill Tips: Communication Systems (Analog and Digital) Signals and Systems

Round: Test
Experience: Technical mainly concentrated on basic transistor circuits & some communication theory principles. Reasoning was of mediocre level was easy and verbal English was a piece of cake for many of those who attempted.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: I WAS INTERVIEWED IN ALL DOMAINS- was asked questions on c++ , DS- implementation of stacks and queue
using linked list & arrays-programming , n OS principles- mainly on process co-ordination and synchronization. And in the core part, was asked questions from COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE , MICROPROCESSORS- 86 ARCHITECTURE. and COMMUNICATION THEORY. The only hurdle was the technical interview as the HR round was a piece of cake and many who got through the technical were selected in .

Round: HR Interview
Experience: HR round was typically to test whether the student had plans for GRE or would settle in the company and they asked the areas of interest in the company.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Mostly the questions they asked me were regarding the microprocessors and coding (C and c++).The interview lasted for 45 min and during this my technical hr grilled me in every sense.He asked me logical questions regarding the core subjects.
Tips: Basically they just want to test the presence of mind and how you react to the situation.so just keep cool and give your best.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: the hr round was a 5 min round in which they asked if the student had any other offer(in my case it was polaris finance),and the ctc offered by the other company and the reason to select nokia over polaris.rest they asked me about my family details.
Tips: Just be calm and composed during the hr round. The hr round checks the mindset of the participant and his confidence to talk to people. Just be yourself.

General Tips: Keep cool and give your 100% .Rest have faith in yourself and you will do great.
Skill Tips: For communication and micro processors just keep yourself updated with the new technologies.read 8085,8086 properly as they will help you in the process. Internships matter a lot.Hence a good internship with a good firm counts a lot in the process(in my case it was Vodafone and Siemens LTD.)
