Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - First impression

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: I had a standard resume for this company as per our institute placement cell norms.
However, as NKG Infrastructure puts more focus on core technical skills, so I mentioned Structural Analysis and Design as my area of interest in the resume.

Round: Test
Experience: There was an objective written test comprising of questions only from Civil Engineering. Questions were asked from topics like IS 456, soil and hydraulics (basic formulae).

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: NKG Infrastructure directly had an interview round after the written test. I was asked questions related to my intern and projects. A lot of stress is put on the B.Tech Project. Some of the technical questions asked were:
1) There is a building of height 50m. In case of an earthquake how would you minimize the shaking of the building?
2) How can you minimize the effect of an earthquake? What would be the effect on a building if it is close to the epicentre or far from the epicentre?

Motivation: I attended the company’s pre-placement talk for information about the company and the profile.
