I was selected in one go. My owner asked me many general questions about purchase procurement and negotiation. He also tested my maths and asked me to calculate a question which in which I had to calculate a amount of interest on monthly basis and yearly basis. We were 3 candidates for that one job and I was selected because of this interest based questions. Also he asked me one intresting question which was if we have to purchase plumbing material of 40 diffrent items how you will compare the prices and on what basis you will give order to any supplier???
And my ans was I will not compare the totat of quotation rather than I will compare the rate of each 1-40 items and I will buy accordingly, and also added that I will buy all 40 items from 3 different supplier which rate will be chaleaper... 1 item from other supplier nd 2nd from someone else..
After listening my ans he laughed and said your idea is not bad but it would be difficult to trace the material in future if any issue comes....
N that's all how I got selected for purchase department..
