Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Avoid applying and do not waste your time; seek a better job. If you possess the relevant background and sufficient time to manage basic tasks for a low salary with a delayed payment, then consider working for this company. The HR behavior is very good, but the seniors, especially the trainer, can be quite unreasonable. I left the company because of him, and I did not receive any compensation for my work.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Test was pretty easy. I was able to finish test within 15 minutes and scored 28/30. I still wonder where I lost those 2 marks!
Tips: To prepare for aptitude test its better you join CAT classes even if you are not looking forward to pursue MBA degree. With a good preparation for CAT exam these aptitude test of different companies will be a piece of cake for you.
Duration: 20 minutes
Total Questions: 30

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: For this company each group had 20 students, which was quite more than the no. of students in GD of other companies. As I am comfortable with English and a very good speaker plus topic was pretty common and easy so I didn't had any problem in this GD. I was able to lead the group and present my points easily.
Tips: In a GD along with a good speaker you also need to be a good listener. Never cut short any other student's point and explicitly express your views on the topic. Even if you disagree with someone's point instead of pointing out about your disagreement, humbly inform all members of your group that you have some other view about that point. To gain up points try to initiate discussion, try to make your group reach a worthy conclusion by suggesting some remedies for the problems point out during discussion. If unluckily you face a topic for which you are not able to recollect any thing then  be quite, listen to others, note down all points and give up a good conclusion at the end of your discussion. After doing this you will definitely have a good chance to be selected for next round. But to avoid this situation its better to read newspaper and be aware of current affairs because most of the topics are either general or related to some current topic.
Duration: 10 minutes

Round: HR Interview
Experience: As I already have been gone through many interviews so I was well prepared for this question. As my this company is a digital education firm. So, before coming to interview I restructured my answer in such a way which shows how could I be helpful for their firm. I worked up in NSS for my whole 3 years starting from volunteer to Deputy General Secretary post, so I was pretty comfortable in narrating them my whole experience.
Tips: Make sure you are prepared for some basic questions. As many of the students doesn't take these questions seriously but I will say this are very important question as with these answers you can direct your interview towards your strong zone. If you will be specifically mentioning some good things about you then their next question definitely will be related to it only as they want to know more about you. Interview is simply an interaction process, whatever you will be saying you need to be prepared for answering another question related to it. You should be by heart prepared for every word written in your resume as they will be judging you by asking questions related to your resume only.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: As my post was a different one which they mentioned during their PPT. So, among 16 finalist I was the only one who also had a skype interview with HR interview. It was again a very chill interview. Director of the firm almost repeated the same questions and I confidently answered all of them

General Tips: Be confident and don't try to mock someone else. Be yourself. While interview make sure you edit your general answers according to company and your job profile. Don't get frighten while talking to your interviewer. Always be confident because confidence is a must thing any company or firm is looking while hiring employees.
