Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - - Always read about the company background
- Go through the JD carefully and prepare your answers around the JD
- Always have a script ready for the question: tell me something about yourself. That will tell the interviewer that you have come prepared and you are serious about the job. Always start with the current job and only speak about your professional experience mostly related to JD. Talk about your personal life only if asked.
- Never badmouth your previous company and bosses irrespective of how bad the experience is.
- Watch your attire. Avoid wearing bright colours.
- You don’t have to know all the answers. You can always reply to a question you don’t have the answer to by saying - I’m not sure about it, however, I am a fast learner and that’s what I’ve been good at - finding answers to questions I’m not aware of.
- if there is a silent moment for more than 30 seconds, break the silence by saying, for instance, Is there anything else you would like to know about my profile.
