- Ans.
There are typically two gases used in gas welding: oxygen and acetylene.
Oxygen is used as the oxidizer to support combustion
Acetylene is used as the fuel for the welding process
The combination of oxygen and acetylene produces a high-temperature flame for welding and cutting
Other gases like propane or natural gas can also be used in some cases
