- Q1. What is the Mac address Format?
- Ans.
The MAC address format is a unique identifier assigned to network interfaces for communications on a network.
MAC address stands for Media Access Control address.
It is a 48-bit address, typically represented as six groups of two hexadecimal digits separated by colons or hyphens.
The first half of the MAC address represents the manufacturer or vendor, while the second half is a unique identifier for the device.

- Ans.
A frame is a unit of data transmitted over a network.
Frames are used in data communication to transmit data between devices.
They contain a header and a payload.
The header contains information such as source and destination addresses.
The payload contains the actual data being transmitted.
Examples of frame formats include Ethernet frames and Wi-Fi frames.
- Q3. The data link layer formats the message into pieces each called a data frame and adds Costmized header containing the source and destination hardware address.
