Compensation is below the average pay what one get in the market. The pressure is very high. Lack of juniors, so that you end up doing all the entry level work. There is no appreciation of the work done. One will have no idea about the future prospect of the employer. Growth is very slow.

The experience you gain is on a different level. It'll help you grow in life. You can easily crack other interviews using the experience. Even the interviewers are impressed.

Dislikes

No work life balance. Low pay. Gets shouted at for nothing. People management is bad.

The extend of support received from the partners and other audit managers are so good. They provided proper guidance and also helps in learning and clearing doubts in each matters. Excellent audit work exposure at top corporates in variety of industries. Good work ethics and training by managers/partners.

Dislikes

The stipend for articles is the minimum as per ICAI but non article staff has decent pay so it is overall good.

We used to work in teams for many audits.The rapport built in between the team-members made me realize that the fruits of a team work would be the sweetest.We were used to handle multiple audit assignments.The assignments ranged from statutory audits to compliance framework checks.The 3 years of my articleship made me develop my skills best suited for a chartered accountant.

Dislikes

The stress we would feel when we work on peak seasons is that I dislike the most.But we were able to manage stress to an extent.

Hi, I'm here to share a part of my journey from the past 12 years in my career, I started from a package of 3.6LPA in 2013 at iGate and due to a few bad decisions on my career and worthless advices from people who are always pessimistic about the industry, I switched two companies and landed in a start-up with 2.4LPA. I worked hard nearly 8-16hrs a day single handed researched, built and managed an entire vertical of a project for 8 years. When the company didn't value my contribution and thought I was too young to become a manager, I had a package of 6LPA and Senior developer in designation. I switched for obvious reasons to a TL role for 12LPA and now at the same company I'm a TPM on the basis of my contribution with 48LPA as a fixed component. I feel outclassed in terms of having a fancy CV with certifications, I feel like CTC has hit a peak with 48LPA being fixed and nearly 40% in Variable. Most companies are hesitant to hire me because of this. What should be my next move?
