I feel that salary increments and promotion opportunities at Tata Consultancy Services can be inconsistent and may not always align with performance.

Work culture is good. If you need good work life balance , one should choose tcs.

Dislikes

...nd appraisal system is not good. Every process inside the company is very slow. Salary packages are very low. You don’t get to work on latest technologies. Leadership still follows traditional ways to manage people.i.e. You need to work for 5 days a week. If this is not followed, you get a bad rating.

Likes

Medical and health insurance for employee and family. The ILP is a good place to learn and explore in new corporate environment. You will get to interact with a lot of people from a lot of different places and you will get to live in a different part of the country which will be really beneficial for our growth. The ILP is best place for especially people from non Computer Science background to upgrade there skill set.

Dislikes

Salary growth is less and variable component of salary is more which can be manipulated. Very good people who can prove successful in development and design are kept in production support where you cannot learn much. There are some outdated technologies where if you get stuck hampers your chances of a good IT career. Project managers most of the time bid less in order to grab a project and which in turn put a load on the employee to finish the work on time.

I liked the way people treats and the people in my current project are awesome.

Dislikes

Hike percentage is too low. They need to increase salary by seeing his/her performance atleast. Salary is not sufficient to stay in other states. Please understand and try to give best hike to associates when compared to other companies.

Delayed promotion cycle.Less salary. If you are promoted to digital and gets C band bonus salary will be gone.which is approx 50% of current salary.
