Job security is there. But there is no trust left on management. They can take drastic decisions that affect entry/mid level employees. Least to last year they changed roles for all employees. Some teams are too overloaded with work that there’s no work life balance. People who work keep getting piled up with work while others enjoy.

Dislikes

Compensation for existing employees is not at all good. Hikes are not up to the mark and very demotivating. Too much off weekend working specially under BN

...ationship [3] More number of directors than managers - Lot of micro management [4] Salary does not meet the market standards [5] No career growth with many companies being taken over [6] No innovation opportunities [7] Work-life balance is NIL - very much stressed out

Dislikes

Cons - [1] Politically biased management [2] No work life balance especially if you are above lead roles [3] More work less value [4] There are more number of directors than managers [5] High level micromanagement by directors [6] No career growth, promotions never happen [7] No scope for innovations

No value for employees' life, or his dependents who rely on the salary of the employee, just bossy team managers, and selfish, long-stayed-in-one-place managers. They prioritize their own self-interest and job security, than teams growth or company growth. Such kind of foolish and micromanaging managers, with maximum insecurity. Being in the same company and same role for 15+ years narrowed their thinking, less receptive to external changes or industry trends. Self-centric behavior can manifest in low empathy. Hi, I'm here to share a part of my journey from the past 12 years in my career, I started from a package of 3.6LPA in 2013 at iGate and due to a few bad decisions on my career and worthless advices from people who are always pessimistic about the industry, I switched two companies and landed in a start-up with 2.4LPA. I worked hard nearly 8-16hrs a day single handed researched, built and managed an entire vertical of a project for 8 years. When the company didn't value my contribution and thought I was too young to become a manager, I had a package of 6LPA and Senior developer in designation. I switched for obvious reasons to a TL role for 12LPA and now at the same company I'm a TPM on the basis of my contribution with 48LPA as a fixed component. I feel outclassed in terms of having a fancy CV with certifications, I feel like CTC has hit a peak with 48LPA being fixed and nearly 40% in Variable. Most companies are hesitant to hire me because of this. What should be my next move?
