...is basic lack of respect for employees' well being and professional development.
Management practice:
When I was asked to resign, the company refused to honor the notice period pay, despite my willingness to serve the full notice period. When I referenced Indian labor laws, both the manager and HR shamelessly suggested I file a case against the company. I had to escalate the issue to India HR head to fight for my rightful notice pay.
Advice to current Employees:
If you are placed on a Performance Improvement Plan(PIP), do not waste time trying to improve within this scripted program. Instead, start preparing for your next job. Ensure you do not resign voluntarily, even if pressured to do so. Seel legal advice, as the company will do everything possible to avoid paying notice pay. This is not just my experience; Many former employees have faced similar issues. Those who fight for their rights often succeed in getting their notice pay, while others loos out.
Made great friends, and nice flex is a good idea. Other than that, there's nothing to like.

It's been a year since I have joined. I didn't get a salary hike even though that's what they promised at the time of joining and now they have put me on a PIP.
I am an experienced professional and someone who takes pride in the work I do and don't go asking around how to do my job. I help juniors from time to time even though those efforts aren't capitalized.
Even after delivering everything on time and making a lot of performance improvements and driving important technical meetings, my manager has written a bad performance review about me, stating I can't do my job without help from feature leads, and QAs don't have a trust on me.
He also adds that I get a lot of review comments on my code reviews (which are more about clarifications and choices made btw), which, I didn't know counts as a metric for bad performance?
Also, somehow there was a P1 in production due to code which I didn't write (I just added a new feature around which gave them an excuse to blow it all on me). QAs couldn't identify this bug either, but nobody was held responsible except me, and this happened 2 months after I joined the team.
I mean just say that you can't afford me and need to downsize, nothing personal and there are much better paying companies out there. Why all this PIP nonsense and accusing me of a bad performance?
If you are looking for a product-based company, stay away from NICE. Most of the people working here are from a service-based background, and you'd be involved in a lot of dirty politics besides your own job. (Not trying to generalize all service background employees here)

Company doesn't pay as per person talent, it depends on your number of years of experience, someone who is doing work then you even 10% of work what you do, that person can have more salary then you, in short if u are junior your life is hell and with very less salary as per market standards.
Weird hybrid model, 2 days of office where you sometimes doesn't get your own specific place to sit
Monitors are of worst quality, high quality only for manager who are just attending meetings whole day, for developers they gave very less priority,
You will be not listened about any suggestions if your field is not matching with the suggestion that you are giving.
Partiality in distribution of bonuses, you have to be favourite of manager, and they consider very specific requirements for growth like you should be talkative to cross teams and also at the same time submit your work on time, precisely
PO'S ARE OLD guys who just listen the developers and update there requirements page enjoying high salaries.
Developers have to present in every week what they have done and also specs every week and also they have to attend
Tooooo many meetings hell life for developers.
Sometime internet even doesn't work in there office, high cost for food
And trust me never believe on what hr told you they just fool you about everything,
At the time retrospective you will get bullied in case your stories are still pending and that gonna affect your growth plan,
Bc they give you appreasle based on that.
No one cares about what you innovated they have very low priority to look over wht you are innovating for growth perspective
...e to office when do you go. Manager don’t even knows what his team members does. One who butters the manager will get promotion n bonus.
One can’t even complaint to higher management because manager threatens a lot and if one does complaint then he will face consequences.
