Here at Nabha Power limited i have the job satisfaction. The company policies are very clear. The work culture of every company is very important to survive and i am in no doubt to say that work environment is very supportive and enthusiastic at Nabha Power Limited. Everybody at Nabha power is working happily in collaboration and they are innovative as the company is open to innovation.

Dislikes

The salary hikes is very minimal and the growth is slow. The work pressure is little bit high during annual/capital overhauls. The working time is long as employees have to out of house for approx. 12 hours. Alternate Saturday off is a best option instead of each Saturday half day as it will save employee's time as well as company's money. Availing and asking for privilege leave is a challenging task here to have work life balance. Every time you have to plead to your seniors and give them the complete details to avail the privilege leave.

The company gives enough opportunities for overall development of Employee. Also, the company is open to innovation and new ideas. I enjoyed working there from project stage to O&M Phase. Plant is world class and one of the most energy efficient supercritical thermal power plant.

Nabha Power Limited (NPL) is a very young organization. The sr. management is very receptive of the ideas given by their subordinates. The learning is through the different modes of regular interaction which includes intractions with Head O&M and Chief Executive (How often do you get to intract with the CE of a company). The workforce is constantly on the mission to improve the plant parameters which comes from a culture of commitment and dedication right from top to bottom.

The Improvement points may be : 1. The working hrs for General Shift usually extends to 12 hrs per day including the travel time (if you are living in Zirakpur) leaving you with very minimal time for yourself and your family. 2. The limitation of taking PL/EL only three times a year is a big constraint.
