McAfee is a great brand and has some amazing products. They are generous in giving compensation and other benefits. However, eventually all boils down to two things 1. Which project/team you are working on and 2. whom are you reporting to. If these two things are good then rest are just bells and whistles. I hope you agree with me. There are some really high quality engineers who have vast experience and they are very helpful. One needs to have really good etiquette and email writing skills as well because you will have to interact a lot with people from other cultures and geographies. However, overall experience has been great and it is highly recommendable.

Tech stack is complex and deadlines are stiff.

Mcafee has undergone a lot of changes in management in recent time. No more job security, compensation or hike. You have to work to exceed management’s expectations but they won’t give even decent hike, only single digits.

The company is not doing up to the mark. Not satisfied because it only give importance to managers not For those u work under them. There is no option in. Learning new things. Your seniors expect you to work as a donkey and not as smart as dog.

The company provides ample opportunities for growth, being in cyber-security you get exposed to latest technologies and you have to be on toes to catch up fast paced changes in technology and also to keep from getting fired. Work culture is flexible.

Dislikes

Nothing much to dislike, compensation/ hike is low.
