Appraisal process is very bad. There is no standardisation of salary as per band, someone is getting 8 lacs on a position and another one is getting 18 lacs on the same position. Trainings are available, but managers ask to do work during the training, so can’t get proper knowledge.

A lot of things….. almost everything including some management people, few policies, restrictions, rewards & compensation. It’s like a government company where nobody will listen about your problems/ issues.

...there is no k.m. limit. Good culture Job Security as compare to other companies. Salary credit on month end.

Basic Salary is very low so you can't save much tax, working hour is 9.30 hour. HR don't give your email response easily might be they are too busy. No Diwali bonus. Salary increment is very low. Politics depend on you manager.

HCL really need to rethink about their appraisal and salary raise. I have worked 4.5 years in this company and got excellent performance rating in past 2 years yet there is marginal growth in my CTC despite having good ratings.

If you want to end your career and rust your skillsets , join HCL. They will never pay you for extra hours. At the time of appraisal, bell curve or may be an excuse of quarter revenue. They promise everything to the customer with automation for which you might not have the skillsets. They will do whatever is possible to please the customer even if it is at the cost of your extra hours without any pay. They won't approve reimbursements even if it by the company rules stating there is costing issue in the project. Yearly Appraisals of 2 percent are very common and considered pretty decent according to them. Whatever you work they would say the thinking was not out of the box at all and you simply delivered what you were asked to. I have left HCL with the hope and pledge to not to join it back ever.
