- My current project has a good working culture (thanks to the client) - Flexible working hours

  • Work-life balance - Good

Dislikes

- Company doesn't pay insurance premium of dependents - If you have been working on client project and client's image is installed on your machine then company internet won't work on your machine, even though machine is provided by HCL itself. - You have to raise request for data card and it goes through several levels of approvals (which takes awful lot of time to get approvals from all levels) and after that you will get a data card to work from office. Internet is a basic necessity of software engineers and I feel that we don't have to fight so much to just get good internet in office. - There is so much fight to avail stationary like pen and notebook from company. If you are lucky then only you will get it easily. - Work places are designed very poorly. Chairs are not so comfortable and also charging points are fitted at the bottom of the desk, this is pretty much troublesome for pregnant women and people with back problems. I think it is very basic that electric sockets should be above the work desk so employees can pin or remove their laptop chargers easily. - Travelling portal is designed very poorly. - Appraisals - even if you score 9+ stars out of 10 then also you will receive appraisal in single digit like 8-9%. - EPB (Employee Performance Bonus) & CPB (Company Performance Bonus) is to loot the employees. PS - I am based @Pune location and my infra related feedback is for Pune location only.

Depends on the client you get to work for. I got to work for a small client and it was terrible experience. As if you are working for a startup but the pay is less.

Despite delivering exceptional work and receiving positive feedback from both colleagues and clients, my salary was unexpectedly deducted based on purported performance concerns. To my surprise, there was no prior communication or agreement regarding such deductions. In the face of these circumstances, it is essential to stand up against unethical practices and advocate for fairness and transparency. Every employee deserves to be treated with respect, and any changes to the terms of employment should be communicated and mutually agreed upon. Open dialogue and a commitment to fairness are key to nurturing a healthy work environment where everyone can thrive. I strongly believe that addressing these issues head-on and initiating constructive conversations is the first step toward positive change. It is my hope that by bringing attention to this matter, we can encourage organizations to reflect upon their practices and ensure they align with the values they profess. Keep this in mind 1. CTC incluseds your Insurance , Gratuity and variable pay 2. Apprisial process - if join in starting of any quarter then you will loss 2 months means you will consider as quarter end jonier, so 2 months of qurter + 2 months of HR process, and then you will get first increment later after 17 months and if you lucky having A grade then compensation letter affecting from starting of month otherwise you will loss 2 months. 3. Insurance - here you will get TPA as Vidal Health and very bad experince about your processing calims, network hospitals and deductions many losses. 4. Macro management - 90% projects has Nippon previously know as sappience software which will moniter 9 hours even in office too. 5. Project change: No release from project, very difficult to get release from project 6. Onsite : Rare chances but if you got then also realize your compensation has many loop holes 7. Internal politics: majority, location bias you will find in multiple projects 8. Increment : as useual its same as all service based companies 2%-4% 9. Variable pay: never will get 100% it always between - 60-80% 10 Variable pay: if you resign withing year then you will not get your VP 11 Main thing: After resign, your first salary will get on hold that you will get after NP + 45 Days means they are earning interest on this too.

...asure or pride in working for this company. 3. Increment cycle is utter garbage. If you get 4-5 out of 5 rating, you will get new salary in Jun. But if you get 3 or lower, you will get it in Oct. (NO ARREARS). Increment is usually 3-5% only. Also, during Covid, they had no business losses but still did not give anyone increment until December. The "Milestone bonus" that they gave in Feb is also just for good publicity. 4. Promotion is completely political. Doesn't even matter if you are an excellent performer or have good relation with Manager.
