New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

... some thing and job security is worst. Over all chennai office is worst in this. No bonus and increment not even worth for a single star.

Salary on time while on payroll. Good annual bonus. Parent company got strong roots and good reputation.

Dislikes

Admin department & outdated HR policies. Politics among top management creating trouble for the entire workforce. No strong leadership for India team. Irresponsible & inefficient PMO/Technical team at the Middle East lead office. Work-life balance of Engineers & Modellers is horrible due to the unprofessional attitude of Middle East lead team and lack of strong leadership for India team. No hybrid working or WFH options. Treatment of employees during resignation/separation is unprofessional. Company is not well-structured.

Dislikes

No growth, no training/skill development No work-life balance. Working day and night Unplanned project activities and unrealistic deadlines Torture and disrespectful treatment by the arrogant head of office Felt like a school with a rude headmaster Poor office infrastructure. Even AC will not work. Have to use pedestal fans and work in hot & suffocating environment Canteen that stinks like gutter and handwash station that leaks water all throughout the year Have to beg for even toilet paper Very Very rude office head (a lady) HR who is helpless and pathetic Need I say more......?

Dislikes

Very bad company. I work here more than 1 year, increment for 2023 is given now only. Given 3% increment. After more than 1 year of hard work, long working hours, late night work, weekend work, I got 3%. Many partiality in increment. Please don't join in this company. I beg you.
