Nothing much to like, to be honest. If at all I have to add anything positive, I would say that you may have a chance to go abroad for projects but then you have to give up all your ethics and morals, play cut throat politics and ignore technical skills, do whatever the manager says, be good at back stabbing and blaming others.

... Uninspiring. Even their offices are dull and boring unlike say Infy or TCS. Even for hardware upgrades, there is cost cutting and you need approvals from VP to add extra RAM to your machine for running specific IDEs :)) There is an air of arrogance all around. I mean, you really are not a company of good technical skills or experience, are you? The top management is rarely seen or heard, but they manage to keep the company afloat and get projects from clients. The middle management is a cesspit. Even the travel operations guy has some air of arrogance like he is doing you a personal favour by processing your visa. Oh bhai, shaant reh, I have my own PR too, and I am going for company work and not using your money. Overall this is the kind of attitude you can expect at cognizant. Even startups with much higher skills and expertise are a lot more down to earth and practical. Here in Cognizant, it is some Chennai Rajnikanth style of some bravado and arrogance. The current CEO Ravikumar wont be able to change much, the company seems to be rotten to the core since a decade now. Cognizant had everything going for it till about a decade ago when they lost direction. Not a company for polite people who like to focus on work, getting things done and solve problems. It is more of a company where if you talk more and play politics, you move ahead. If you are polite and professional, people here assume that you are weak and try to overwhelm you.

Lots of project, so job security is there. Work-life balance (again depends on the client and project).

Extra benefits like (insurance and term insurance etc are not up to standard.) Salary hike is very less.

CTS provides a good work life balance and decent salary. All other things depends on the type of project which you got.

As a fresher you will be getting support projects , so be aware before choosing any project.

...you will come across all IT companies. Just learn to survive, upskill and excel. Do not depend on your job or salary, have multiple streams of income without moonlighting and switch jobs whenever you get a good opportunity. Work for your own success not for the company.
