In past 8 months at least, market salary has increased by 60%-150%. But CTS trying to retain resigned people with 30% hike & miserably failing. Resulted in 40% attrition

I have no good memories to write here. However they are paying the salary on time.

Lot of politics. appraisals are hog wash.. Ratings are predecided and if you move from one department to another your ratings are downgraded even if you have done a great job in your previous project. The management thinks that a project can be done by freshers they do not value Senior members of the team. If you are on Bench getting another project is very tough and you'll be asked to leave by HR in 5 wks. Always there is a threat to your job.

It used to be a Good Company long back, however under new management its probably worst company to work for. Mandatory 10 hours work policy, zero work life balance, Poor compensation, Hire and Fire attitude, Extremely long working hours and huge work load, and Management politics are just a few to mention in my disliking. Cognizant dont care for their people and only thing matter to them is profit margin. Find a better place to work

Zero Worklife balance Poor Compensation No salary revision in mid senior level for almost last 4 years Extended work hours and too much stress Management politics and favoritism gets priority over talents poor and shady appraisal process zero job security and mandatory fire if you get released or your project ramp down practically no bench policy to optimize cost.

Cognizant has its strengths, but I feel there's room for improvement in several areas beyond just salary. For me, the overall experience hasn’t aligned with my expectations.

In my personal experience, I have faced challenges with the lack of qualified managers and team leads. For instance, in our team, we work from different locations, and our team lead rarely conducted regular team huddles. Even when I, as a senior, tried to take responsibility and initiate meetings, he would often find reasons to stop or postpone them. Over the course of the year, he connected with the team only four or five times, which was far from adequate for effective team collaboration. Additionally, my manager has been disconnected from the team for over a year. When he first joined during a critical transformation period, he did not take the time to observe the team members' expertise, interests, or long-term goals. This lack of involvement left us feeling unsupported and undervalued. One major concern was the cultural bias I experienced. Being from Chennai and a Tamil speaker, I noticed a clear difference in how I and others like me were treated compared to team members from Hyderabad, particularly Telugu-speaking colleagues. This disparity in treatment created a sense of alienation and made it difficult to feel like a cohesive part of the team.
