they provide high package when joining. there is very less variable pay compared to other companies.

Dislikes

when you are in project they well treat you well. when you in bench your struggle start. they will torture you all the way possible and do it until you put resignation. even new joiners be in bench and it’s their duty to find project. so think twice before joining.

Likes

Company invests in learning, initiates learning opportunity in Cloud technologies. Company sponsored online learning platforms like Udemy, Pluralsight. Work life balance depends on the project however in general they keep all the resource engaged and frequent ramp down and ramp up's.

Dislikes

...and not consistent. It takes 8-10 months to get the previous year appraisals. Cost cutting (they removed even use and through coffee cups, adhoc cabs etc)

No salary hike/merit increase for past 2 years. Only targeted people are offered salary hike. This is the main reason why attrition rate in Cognizant is extremely high (31% attrition) in the last quarter. 1 out of every 3 people in Cognizant is resigning. I am really trying my best efforts to leave Cognizant as soon as possible to enhance my career growth and to increase my renumeration.

Good I like that there are good projects available. If you get that great you will get experience and knowledge.

Dislikes

1. Salary and hikes are low. 2. Poor employee welfare activities, once a year they take you out for team lunch. If you missed then nothing, no gifts, abs nothing, saving so much money but gives back nothing.
