Used to be good. Nothing to like anymore.

- Treats employees like a use and throw battery. - Focus on numbers rather than progress. - Promises made by the org is like a politician’s words. - The most worst management I’ve ever seen or heard. No one works towards progress and teams just blames each other instead of taking ownership and solving it. - If a progress happensby an employee he/she will be interrogated deeply and will be asked for proof of everything. If even a single mistake is caused by employee it will be deeply recorded and will result in his/her promotion. Ultimately they call this as startup culture. - Think they are treating employees very bad and making us leave on our own on purpose as more layoffs will make them look bad. (As if they have a good reputation now). Anyone who wants to join here for the money prepare for your worst nightmares if money is so important to you. There's nothing much positive to say about working at Yubi. In my case luckily I got decent and helpful teammates. I like that all code repositories are open and anyone can check out any other teams code repository to see their coding practices, ideas etc.

Dislikes

I don't know where to begin to list down the negatives. The work culture is exceptionally toxic. Extremely strict WFO policy where we come to office only to attend meetings with colleagues in another city. They take away earned leaves if you miss to punch in your card for 9 hours. Unrealistic deadlines. There's hardly anytime to maintain code quality and have proper code design and reviews. Manager asks to stretch till 2 AM at night and finish work on multiple days in a sprint only to revert the feature in a week since requirements were not proper Extremely hectic on-calls. Every issue is treated as P0 and expected immediate resolution whether the issue is a feature change or a minor bug doesn't matter. Also on-calls are parallel to your already existing sprint work. Leave policy is terrible. Can't get approvals for leave plans from your manager. And even if on leave , there will be multiple phone calls and messages to resolve tickets and other queries. There are other issues such as only being allowed to select 2 days leaves on all religious/other occasions besides very few other holidays. Low compensation and next to no hikes/appraisals. The appraisal cycle is in name only. Most people last year(2023) got 0% hike. And this year(2024) also looks bleak. There are many people doing same work with wildly different compensations. No learning and growth. This is specific to the team I was in. Perhaps in other teams there would be more learning or things to do( although highly doubtful). They use ruby on rails for most projects which may be a put off for some people. Although I didn't mind using RoR. The work mostly involved doing routine/manual work day in and. day out. There was nothing that would increase skills or have any learning growth. Mostly everyday spent here I feel trapped and feel like I am stagnating my skills and potential spending my time here. Some other minor criticism, personally not a big issue. No lunch/snacks/cafeteria. Earlier there was provision but now that is removed. Office is extremely crowded. Since it's strict WFO ,many times I don't get the proper chair and motorbike parking is also impossible since there is very little space inside the building and it becomes full quite quickly.
