1. GBS was created with the intention of cost-cutting in the US and other PepsiCo office worldwide. People lost their jobs when GBS was created and work was transferred to Indians. This is never revealed as part of the hiring process. 2. Employees are severely underpaid in terms of the work that they're doing. What people in different offices in the world were doing at Level X, in GBS India, they're doing it at Level (X-3). Overall, Indians are being considered as cheap labor because of this setup and we're supposed to act as 'business partners' to our global counterparts. Simply means, that we're supposed to do exactly the same job that they were doing at 80-90% lower salaries. Setup is highly discriminatory & racist. 3. GBS office is approximately 4 years old and the management is still not mature/experience enough to help implement all real PepsiCo policies/ culture. Lots of things are on paper but not implemented in reality. 4. Managers are comparatively hired with less years of experience and will mostly have a couple of years of experience more than their reportees. Most of the times they don't even know how to manage their teams. Most are not mature enough to support an employee's career aspirations/growth/issues and will get insecure when they feel their reportee is smarted than them. 5. Management is not transparent when it comes to a lot of issues. They will choose to beat arounf the bush just to keep an employee hooked. Having a good experience here will entirely depend on what team you're part of- the tricky part is that the management never reveals what team you're going to be a part of during the hiring process.
