Working environment is authoritative and sometimes works under stress with sub standards supervisors. Lengthy cycle of promotion especially in Non tech trades among below officer rank.

I spent 20 years of glorious service in IAF. got numerous opportunities to learn and explore new things.

Dislikes

A bit of stressful environment. At some moment I felt I am doing a thankless job.

As Air force concern with our national security there can not be write any thing against it. Also there are no negativity with this organization. Its a great organization so whatever less negative side is there, they are parts of its discipline.

The number game for assessment. After one attends the rank of Sergeant, the real battle begins for next rank where people with appeasing skills overtake the one's with actual talent.

Enjoyed living in all 4 corners of country (Assam, Gujrat, Leh-Ladakh & Tamilnadu) and as well as in Shri Lanka. Balanced work and family life. Good working and learning experience.

Dislikes

If Commanding Officer in Indian Air force is of good nature then working environment of office becomes very good but if not of good nature and wants to trouble people then working & living environment becomes tough and that I dislikes.
