Has a Good work-life balance, lot of interaction with Australian offices. Helps you understand Australian practices and standards.

Dislikes

Can't see much growth in career, laid back approach. Doesn't have the ability to win big ticket jobs. Lack of exposure to large desalination projects.

Work Details

Work load is varying and with fewer projects you may end up with no work at times. Project issues usually stretch the project execution. Each individual tend to work 5-6 months on a project where they would normally need to be working for 2month.

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
