The leave policy.

Dislikes

Nothing is good. More powers to managers and less to hr's. Even if HR policy is to come office 2 days but due to managers ego you may come 5 days also. And even for leave or wfh you have to email managers and take approval. Mangers themselves dont come to office but expects you too come. The culture is pointing culture here instead of solving a issue. Frustrated in here.

Job security is there if you know your job. But if you are from India be prepared to be bashed by the Americans. Even if you give your best & take all the heavy lifting, if a small thing goes wrong, that too for no fault of yours, you would still be blamed without any second thought or investigation into the matter. Particularly there are a group of account managers whose only target is this - find fault & never try to investigate the matter, just put the blame on resource as soon as there are some feedback from the customer. However these type of people or customers are only 10%, there has been some great customers, very friendly supportive..& so many projects were successfully completed with good CSAT score, just because customer was very patient & had knowledgable resources at there end & most importantly priority was never to have American resources or accent but rather to get the most out of the training programs. India is still a 3rd world country sadly. And just to save your job, your family, you aged mom & dad you need to accept anything & everything that Americans does. Its a favour that they are doing by providing us job :) We need to provide our children with the best possible knowledge & above all a strong spine so that they do not have to go through the same situation when they grow up.

One of the best organisations I've worked in. Far far better work culture than the service companies. Very few companies can surpass the work culture and work standards maintained by Oracle. When people are happy, they dont need much management, they take responsibility of product themselves. That is clear when working in Oracle.

1. No salary hike in 5 years, i.e. since the time I joined. Just the excuse "we dont have budget" 2. Taking a leave or even 2 hours off the manager makes you feel as though you're stealing from his house. 3. No Training, they say they dont have budget for it. If somehow one enrolls they are frowned upon by managers "is the training relevant to our work" . Not to mention the daily and weekly updates you need to share after the trainings. 4. Despite our commitment to aligning with business needs and delivering quality work, therehas been no recognition in terms of compensation. Employees are expected to proactively adapt and perform, but the company does not reciprocate with fair financial growth or motivation. 1 - Only boot lickers with no attitude towards work are promoted. Too much politics. 2 - 6% salary hike, worst among all the organizations. 3 - Management is just for name and politics, even VP doesn't know how the increment is done and how much fund will be given to the specific team. These decisions are made at SVP level which is too bad. They don't have a vision of how people will be promoted, they only aim for their profit and their own salary share. 4 - Managers highlight a simple work of a boot lockers as if he conquered the Himalayas.
