There’s nothing to like about Nykaa except that it looks like a good brand name for the outsiders.

The work in product is nothing close to product management and is more related to the maintenance of the Nykaa app. Most managers are incompetent and do not know how to ensure their subordinates growth. People till staff product management position are individual contributors and do not get an opportunity to lead a team at all. Theindividual contributor is expected to drive the entire charter, ensure the ‘maintenance’ of the product, extend the working hours and still get paid way lesser than industry standards. There is work-life balance. You would hardly have to work post 6 pm. There's enough learning opportunity for product managers just starting out in their career.

Dislikes

Middle Management- There are hardly any good people manager/product leader to work under in the GPM/Director layer. Overall Product Vision- There is no clarity in communicating the broader product vision and strategy amongst the org. Relevant Infrastructure to learn and grow in the org is pretty poor.

Lot of Office Politics & Favouritism in employees by higher management authorities which is affecting other employees who are working causing them to leave so they can appoint their own team , Calls & Meeting are scheduled on weekends as well there is no work life balance causing frustation.

Managers are awful, no worklife balance, dirty politics, mental harrasment, torture everyday, at the time of appraisal undue work pressure, no personal life, you will get the messages on whatsapp, need to tell the reasons why are you late even for one day, the most awful culture and people at management level especially in finance

Everything is fine except logistics and operations.

No HR in office,no HR policies,no HR interaction with employees specially for logistics and operations. Everything is managed by the Managers who deny for everything for leave for mediclaim for reimbursement..no SOPs no hierarchy.. entire logistics is running by like a lala company works, no work from home policy, strict timings.

Too much stress for business,Area/ops manager calling and pressurizing entire day,if the day target is not achieved then ur Area manager will ask u the reason at night and won’t let u sleep seems u have done a crime. On-roll staff behaviour and their etiquette is so bad,they should be polite and they don't know how to talking.Salary increases according to working experience is so less. Designation.With any designation promotion, there is no corresponding increase in salary.

I feel like working in the company because the name of the company is good and the product of the company sells very well in the market.

senior management is absolutely weak!One person started thinking that I am the owner of the company. I will say something. The company will run like that. The employees will run it.Senior management did not know this. Why are they leaving Improve? At least ask them why are they leaving the job

Worst company to work for, no respect for the employees. Even after doing a business of Rs 800 cr in 8 days during sale the company gave vadapav as a token of appreciation and scolded the ones who had two. No job growth or stability and one of the worst payer in the industry. The brand is dying slowly. The average stint of a brand manager is 8 months only due to horrible work culture.
