It’s not got a well designed or aggressive strategy for tapping the Commercial Potential of India while other very similar MNCs like Roche are able to thrive very well. Novartis has been continuously downsizing its commercial operations in India for last 3-5 years.

Highly hierarchical structure. No scope for promotions without completing the 2 years per role requirement. No competitive salary. No challenging tasks. Anything more complex than a drag and drop would be delegated to some consultancy.
