During appraisal discussions, the management frequently justifies minimal increments by claiming that your salary is already above the industry benchmark—a statement far removed from reality. Over time, this persistent undervaluation can erode your motivation and hinder your professional growth. You may feel trapped by the rigid 90-day notice period policy, which not only limits your mobility but also causes you to lose touch with critical interview skills. Webchat Dept. in chennai . Too much politics.. People licking management's shoes gets promoted to higher levels , where as the hardworkers stay in the same level and management tries to ditch them . Drug usage , alchaloic managers are allowed inside the office and when someone raises questions , they try and somehow get them fired. And they don't give a shit about employees personal life

They have the most egoistic and skill less managers. Your hard work and opinions would not matter unless and until you play according to the system of not suggesting alternatives when you know things could be better that way. They expect you to be brainless machines that do exactly what is asked to be done. You ask a question about something that you feel doesn't make sense to one of the superiors in the most respectful ways and suddenly you become the troublesome employee. If you are fine with just doing what you're asked to and are not inquisitive in nature, you could do fine here. If you are someone who tries to find better ways of getting things done or a person who requires to have 100 percentage clarity behind the purpose of your work, then NatWest is a big no. They try to invest in new technology. They work as one team, India teams are not treated separately.

Dislikes

Many people only talk and get promoted, actual work is not valued. They do not hire people at proper positions. they try to take experienced candidates and with high pay in lower grades and then later during appraisal cycle candidates do not get hike as they already cross the limit for that position.

Above mentioned may vary based on the manager you are working with. All things may be limited to the people who are favourite but this is very rare.

I would not recommend working for this company who are getting hired on (FTC) if you're looking for job stability and growth. Despite completing the probation period, I was hired on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) and was never made permanent. Here are my key issues: 1.Lack of Job Security: Even after successfully completing the probation period, they continued to keep me on a fixed-term contract with no intention of making me a permanent employee. 2.No Salary Increment: As an FTC employee, there were no salary increments, which is extremely discouraging and doesn't reflect the hard work and dedication put into the job. 3.Unstable Work Assignments: After the probation period, they assigned me to different teams for various projects. Despite contributing significantly to these projects, they still refused to make my position permanent. Once the project was completed, they simply terminated my contract. 4.External Hiring Over Internal Promotion: Instead of offering permanent positions to current FTC employees, the company continuously hires new people from outside.
