This place is all about talking and gossiping. Both founder and HR head love to gossip and often focus on it more than their work. The founder uses rude/abusive words and gets into arguments at the office and shouts badly. HR head spends a lot of time talking negatively about others as she has some inferiority complex and wants to hold the control so badly that she lies knowing that founder would believe her anyway. She has been there since the beginning and has lot of control over everything, even deciding what/when to eat on fun Fridays. The company does not have a vision and often say things that are not true and fire people and then talk bad things about them to other people. Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
