There is no job security. Anytime you can expect omanization.I wished I could work till my retirement,but unfortunately I was omanized which was quite unfortunate for me.

It was wonderful to work in different culture. Initial problem was language but soon I picked Arabic. Emergency management was same for all. Rich or poor from any part of world. Main benifit was as surgeon we never had to bother for expense of treatment. Supply of essential requirements were attended very well. Working with Doctors and para medical from more than 22 nations was exciting. As Indian I was considered excellent. Only drawback was no compensation for extra work and when load was more when colleagues were on annual leave. Others faced education of children as Indian school was 60 minutes 70 km from our township. Market developed fast for daily needs....Read More

No compensation for extra work. Not much personal friendship amount colleagues as Culture was different. For recreation had to drive till capital. Nothing major as from Ministry point of view. Cooperation from everyone was beyond expectations

Though town was small but well connected, public transport to big was available. Local people are extremely helpful and help even strangers. Crime almost nil.

During the interview I appear for consultant position.but they give me specialist position and assure me there is monthly promotional test.so I agreed on less payment and less grade.when I went to Oman ,I found big cheating done with me .from Muscat ,I was said that I give posting at nizwa.i was happy to see the nizwa at least surgery was there and fully equipped hospital,.but I got shocked that I have to go bahla,I asked them .sir,I am gyne surgeon I can't live without surgery.They told lie that bahla have blood bank and surgery are there,when I reached bahla, I found it's a small referral hospital,no OT,no blood bank.first they kept my passport,my visa already kept at airport.in agreement written for 48 hr/ week duty, but there we 3 time /24 hr duty,after 24 hr duty we have to go 3 hrs opd without taking bath and breakfast.you can understand in which condition I work,no surgery, when I said for transfer they said no transfer for 3 years,no promotional exams.in India the person to whom I handed my sign cheque,stole my cheque and property paper and made power of attorney.i filed case from oman.request MOH let me to go.but no help,twice I made flight tickets but make it cancelled,I cried lot of,but worst part,my south Indian Head make me sign on my resignation and then let me go.no paper.given me of my experience,uptill date I am asking but nothing given.in India a faithful cheat me and spoil my life ....Read More

Although computerized system I like,but their false statement and kept my passport,visa and not understand my legal problem specially by keralite head was painful for me.although I felt some omani helped me lot of.Normally we north Indian are strict veg.but MOH provide the food made in same kitchen and utensils in which beef made.so I totally depends on fruit juice .

I love working in MOH . Nw staff not getting salary for 4 months !! Hospitals are clean . Good working atmosphere. Cutting benifits , salary promised , grativity cutting not at all appreciated
