Adjacent Township to Larsen Toubro knowledge City Vadodara. Overall perspective of Project one can gain if he involves himself in any EPC Hydrocarbon project.
Dislikes
This company lacks systems, processes and procedures. Only employees who continuously attach themselves with bosses irrespective of company requirement or not get Gud Ratings and promotion. Their is huge gap in CTC for outstanding performer vs top performer. Ratings are intentionally brought down when ur promotion or Retention is due from company. Employees who have same boss over many years gets Major responsibility even if he deserves or not. Same person is every time rated outstanding and his salary continuously increases. Average vital performer gets increment at 2-3 % , top performer 4-5 % and outstanding performer 15-20%. All outstanding performers are already identified at early stage. They are people who actually stay till retirement. From last six months iteration rate have increased to very high level as employees have started looking for opportunity in Gujrat itself with companies like Adani, Airproducts, worley and tecnip. Until now they were having Monopoly in Vadodara but now with better work culture and increments. Employees are being hired by other companies. Have u Heard that overall CTC is reduced if you don't get gud Ratings in company. Yes this is true with Larsen Toubro Energy Hydrocarbon were salaries get reduced if u don't get gud Ratings and that is true coz old employees are already identified as outstanding performers. If you think of joining this company as lateral enterant use it as just stepping stone for joining another company. Also this company procedures. Imagine women complaining of harassment by top manager but no action coz all departmental HR also has to maintain gud relations with them. Most of work is done in Silos. Most of higher management has left company citing differences with management. If u don't say anything or react then u can easily stay here for long term with average increment of 3-4%....Read More

Driven by old mindset people, micromanagement, Outdated policies, poor salary structure, fix lump-sum increment of few bugs and bossy culture, best is good medical policy.
Dislikes
HR handicap for most employee concerns.
Bad Salary structure, poor increments and Manager are not open for suggestion and for discussion. High work pressure with lowest remuneration and no work life balance.
Good work culture and lot of diverse opportunities for career growth. Job security is also there.

Yearly increment is less, appraisal method is archaic and huge chunk of CTC is given as retention amount & PLR at end of year only.

Dislikes
Working at L&T hydrocarbon Limited is not easy. Need to be competitive and always upgrade. Work and Family life balance is little difficult but has to be managed when you are part of the best in the industry.

You will learn a lot as company is always flooded with projects and work.

Well, the list is long.. No work life balance. You will be used like a slave. Pathetic work policies, Alternate working Saturdays. Job of HR here is to harass people, ensure that people always lose money when they leave. They always look to trap employees with bonds and other ways.. Sandwich leave rules, Excessive work, no timeline to leave Office. No flexible work hours, No Overtime allowance. The list is endless. Don't want to even talk about compensation. They pay as low as possible. Further have components like retention bonus and PLR, which you will lose even if you resign in last month of appraisal cycle. I will only advise people to join this company for learning, that too for a short timeline of 2-3 years.. Nothing more than that. It becomes very difficult to come out of this company, as they literally suck everything out of you.....Read More
