I would like to provide an honest and critical review of my experience at L&T Finance, shedding light on certain aspects that I believe warrant attention and improvement. Work-Life Balance: Regrettably, the work-life balance at L&T Finance appears to be skewed. The expectation for Business HRs to handle the workload equivalent to six individuals is a significant concern. The current situation leaves little room for personal well-being and, consequently, impacts overall job satisfaction. Management's Response to Resignations: While the management expresses curiosity about the reasons behind resignations, there seems to be a lack of meaningful action taken to address these concerns. A more proactive approach to retaining talent is crucial, and a deeper analysis of the underlying issues leading to resignations is warranted. Employee Treatment and Expectations: The apparent perception of employees as mere machines, tasked with working tirelessly to meet business objectives, raises questions about the organization's commitment to the well-being of its workforce. It is imperative to foster an environment that values employees as individuals and acknowledges their need for a healthy work-life balance. Learning Opportunities and Professional Development: The dearth of spare time for personal development is a noteworthy concern. A workplace that fosters continuous learning and growth is essential for employee satisfaction and retention. Adequate time for employees to invest in self-improvement should be a priority. Task Assignment and Manning Efforts: The ad-hoc assignment of tasks without considering the time and manpower required is a hindrance to efficient workflow. A more strategic approach to task delegation, considering realistic timelines and resource requirements, would contribute to a more sustainable and productive work environment. Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs): The frequency of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), even for high-achieving employees, raises questions about the fairness and effectiveness of the performance management system. A thorough review of the PIP process is essential to ensure that it aligns with employee development goals and organizational objectives. In conclusion, my intent is to highlight areas that, from my perspective, require attention and improvement at L&T Finance. I believe that an open and honest dialogue about these concerns is essential for the betterment of our work environment.
