I worked for itc sonar(Kolkata) for 2+ years. Straight from the GM to HR. Every management was non supportive(a few handpicked exceptions were there though). The level of frustration was like these: Dept. Manager used to put pressure on the restaurant managers for target achievement, restaurant managers exaggerated it and send it to the executives, executives with their numerous family problems and work problems used to crush the supervisors and associates. * lemme tell a situation, we associates had to arrange a grand breakfast/lunch/dinner for the executives and restaurant managers. If there was any problem in the special service they used to screw you in front of everyone. And moreover if you presented the cheque/bill for the duty meal they gives you a devil look. Forget your promotion or appraisals.* The associates had to work for 12+ hrs with numerous offs cancelled. Even if you are sick and have proof of that; they still threaten you to come on shift. What's the point of signing a contract written with 9hrs strict shift but have to stay for 12+ hrs without any extra benefits for that. And even if you survive the long hours at the end of the day the person licking the boss's feet is getting the promotions whereas the deserving people are stuck at a same place. Thank God I made it out of that hotel(read hell). The training department was good though. Conducted various trainings and have received certificates for each training attended. Everything. Work culture Management Working hours Salary(actually they used to exploit) Zero promotion until you become your boss's puppet even if you have great potential. And after your long hour shifts you have to wait for home drop for more than an hour sometimes. Ridiculous hotel to work for.

The people and the process and more likely the product . The company has a clear vision about the customer service which is really appreciated. The job was well secure compare to other companies. Indeed i had a great experience working in there.

Dislikes

I have worked there for almost 4 years and 5 months but the growth was not that much which i was expecting from the company . If you see my working style it was quite satisfying but the promotion and increment was not given as per what i deserve.
