We would also like to thank you for rating us fairly in the category of Job Security, which has unfortunately become a rarity in the sector we work in. Addressing the dislikes section of your review, we would like you to know that HSC is not only an equal opportunity employer but is also a PCMM & CMMi Level 5 organisation. As an extension of that, all our decisions, interactions and departments are also governed by a set of policies and procedures which guides us and also ensures that everybody is treated the same way, irrespective of their hierarchy, department or the duration of association. Your remark that ‘management only likes & believes who are there since the beginning and will stay there for their life’ is sweepingly generic to be true. But you are always encouraged, like all HSCians, to talk to your manager, engineering group head, engineering head or for that matter, to Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, as we do not shy away from such conversations. You can also share your concerns and suggestions through our internal platforms like Amber, Q2M, Zero Hour etc., and anonymously, if you wish to do so. Coming to the cons section of your review, we would like you to know that HSC is an equal opportunity employer, compensation fitments & revisions are independent of gender, ethnicity, age, colour & nationality etc. Salary fitment is purely based on a candidate’s experience, profile, the role he/she is being hired for and performance in the interview and not on the basis of last drawn salary of the candidate. Salary fitments are done, afresh, each year basis. Compensation is reviewed once every year in April based on the performance of the employee, salary band for that role/grade and are aligned with the market offering for the respective skill set. They are not averaged out over years. You are requested to talk to your manager, engineering group head or the engineering head and share your concerns and suggestions with them as we do not shy away from such discussions. Dear Anonymous, We are glad that you found HSC as an employer to be “overall good” and mentioning as such in the likes section of your review. Addressing the dislikes section of your review, we would like to let you know and through this review to the readers as well that that the half yearly incentive is an assured component of salary. By design, some salary components have a retention aspect built into them. Half Yearly Incentive is one such component and engineers, including yourself, may have experienced deductions due to separation before the completion of the required tenure. All terms related to this component are clearly and transparently published for all employees in the company. Even if you would have accessed the “Separation Portal” on Appedia, you would have been better informed and as such, our HR team would have gladly guided you through the details if enquired. We noticed that you have given us a poor review for “Skill development”. We would like you to know that our dedicated Learning & Development team schedules various comprehensive trainings from time to time with active inputs from Engineering recommending the topics to be covered. We wish only if you would have leveraged those trainings aligning with your areas of interest. Also, HSC encourages self-learning for HSCians to learn at their pace using the training content available online. You could have also spoken to your manager, engineering group head or engineering head, share your areas of interest & seek their guidance. Centres of Excellence at HSC could have immensely added to your learning experience. Nevertheless, we wish you the best for your future and thank you for your valuable contributions at HSC.

Coming to the dislikes section of your review, we are sure that even you would agree that an organization with “weak management” would not be on the growth path that HSC has been since its inception. It is because of our dynamic leadership and management team that has not only contributed immensely to the culture of employee centricity at HSC but has also led the team through times of adversity including a global pandemic. We would also like you to know that when it comes to job security, we always stand thick and thin with our employees and even with all the noise about “restructuring of teams” we are seeing currently with the sector, HSC has never believed in the practice of layoffs. Also, we have never in the past or present either advertised or aspired as such to be in the topmost quartile as far as compensation is concerned. Our benefits package along with people centric work environment, an enabling family like culture and opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies for global customers makes us one of the best companies to work for in our industry.
