In terms of e-commerce exposure flipkart is good platform to learn about the market.

Dislikes

I was working on third party payroll called TeamLease, which was a bitter experience ever. Since I was working to flipkart as per the norms and rules and regulations it mandatory to apply leaves before a week. I have applied leave for 2 months for my marriage, if company is not fine to provide long leaves would have inform prior to it. Regional manager and HR department wasn’t accepted my leave and they started following up after 24 days of my leave and asked me to attend office all of a sudden. After having a long conversation with HR, HR asked me to report the status weather i can report to office or not, since I tried calling her multiple times I didn’t get any response from HR. After this long process HR went on leave and other person from HR department has come on loop and asked me show proofs for in calling list and mentioned to update on time, which was not happening from company side it self and she mentioned that if don’t report to office immediately they will mark me into absconding which was unfair....Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
