1. Pay is not great, as the hikes are impacted. 2. Recently, inexperienced new mid-level managers got into this position due to the position vacuum as existing people left, some of whom are not very technical but do pretend, and to continue that position, they are involved in politics and favoritism to manipulate the facts and recognition. And due to this, many hardworking engineers are frustrated. This frustartion may reflect in the upcoming employee survey results. 3. On some occasions, tasks get switched so quickly due to a lack of clarity and priority, which gives the impression of immaturity in mid-level managers, but they give excuses for task switching because of upper management.
