Job security: Dell recently layed off more than 12000 employees and may cut down more head count so it's job security is a major issue. Salary: Salary is little below market standards. Appraisal/promotion : Once you reach to principal engineer position, promotion seems like an alien concept because 1 in around 30-40 principal engineer gets promoted to Sr principal level that too after ATLEAST after 10-12 years working as a principal engineer. Skill development/Learning : NO Scope whatsoever for new learning. Most of people who left there jobs recently were due to lack of opportunities to learn new skills and were bored/tired of working on the same things for years. So if you have a hunger to learn new things, Dell is certainly NOT a place for you. Good for those who foot licks upper management

India culture is really sad at Dell tech. Too much of racism , regionalism . They preac over ethics and compliance and force us to do the training every year but the fact is regionalism happens here so openly and HR are like of waste who are agents of upper management. Upper management itself is the main reason of this regionalisms
