American company can fire you anytime, downsize anytime and you wouldn't get another job with similar benefits easily. The place sort of puts you in a comfort zone which is difficult to get out from. I was employed during a period where huge downsizing was going on and hence the team culture was hampered and had a tough time tidingthrough. In support functions, everything depends on Budgets. Culture is extremely bureaucratic and yes you need to be a manager's favorite to grow and say goodbye to your self-respect unless your specific manager is true professional....Read More
