Work culture is very decent, work life balance is good, compensation is good in market, avoiding processes which are disliked generally like daily timesheet, too much approvals, etc.

Dislikes

There is hardly anything to dislike in Ciena but if I have to add then international traveling option is less.

I joined ciena on 7th August 2023 and got meeting invite on 27th September 2023 and this meeting was to inform us that we are getting fired for the sake of cost cutting. No Job Security , They have rule of hire and fire. never ever join Ciena i have never worked company like Ciena, worst company ever.

Working culture, company take utmost care of their employees.. be it banefits, leaves, pay hike with normalisation w .r t to market standards.

It is like a Govt Company with good work life balance and Job security. They provide good food, Gym and pickup and drop from Home.

Dislikes

Technical stack is too old and company has a lobby of old people who stayed in the company for last 10-15 Years. It is impossible to convince them for any new good idea. They only wants to hire and promote people of certain caste and region, using abusive language is common in work culture. Most of the work is anyway done from Canada office and India office work like a service company for Canada employee....Read More

The perks are nice but if you do not get a good manager or team is it the worst place to be.

No support from manager They want people to start performing asap. If someone is changing their role , there is no proper shadowing or guidance. It is that you are on your own
