Ciena is one of the Insecure company and will make you feel that you are nothing but a slave or just a labor class who can be fired at any time . Managers and Directors threaten their employees by saying that you will be fired if you do not get agree to them. Ciena doesn't have any appraisal system in place for employees. Whatever your Manager says that's correct , even if he/she rebukes that is also correct in terms of Ciena....Read More

Dislikes

Work culture in Ciena is worst as there is just a bad hunger within team members to get visibility. This visibility fight among team members have been sponsored by the Managers and Directors .Thus lot of politics in Ciena .Learning is also very poor specially for employees working in India as they like to give transaction based work to employees residing in India. .

Need Your Valuable Advice.

Hello, 6 months ago, I switched from my previous job to my current one with a 40% salary hike. At that time, it seemed like a great opportunity, but now, I am seriously considering my decision. My previous job had, 1. A European MNC team with excellent support and work culture 2. Good Time for my family & personal life 3. Flexible timing & permanent work-from-home 4. 5 days working with proper work-life balance Now, in my current Indian company: 1. 12-hour workdays, with additional work on Saturdays (despite a 5-day work policy) 2. No proper training 3. Toxic work culture, where I get scolded daily due to a lack of training 4. Hardly any time for my kids and parents 5. Started my health issues My previous company is willing to take me back with a 10% hike on my last salary. Given the work-life balance, supportive environment, and long-term growth prospects I had there, I am thinking of returning. *It is not going to impact on my monthly expenses.* Would you recommend going back?
