The whole place is quite mismanaged. The work culture is terrible. You'll hear all sorts of bad words and cruel words on the floor. All the time there is screaming and scolding on the floor. If you are in a lower position 100% accountability and ownership is expected from you yet only the business head gets all the credit. Not all teams have such culture but most do. There are huge cost cuttings going on because of which you won't even be getting good tea in cafeteria although ironically still all the SMTs and business heads go for outbound every quarter. There is absolutely no work life balance you can be asked to work at any time and literally any time even at midnight without even any night allowance. The procedure for promotion is very complicated and strict no matter how hard you work you'll be getting promoted only after a particular long period. There is no remote working option and you have to report to office everyday. This review pertains to the risk management team. The work culture and the people in risk management are just toxic, including your peers, reporting manager and skip level manager. Many people have left the team back to back in a span of just a few months. The remaining 3 to 4 people have some super god complex and don't share any information to any new joinees. Toxic internal politics is at peak here. Even after so many years of incorporation, this company has still not able to figure out what is the process and policy they need to follow. . Even for getting some basic metric you have to run huge excel, that can be easily available via dashboards. The tech and analytics is pretty useless and you will end up doing majority of their work. No matter even if you spend 12 hours on work, the risk head will bash you. A false sense of urgency is created for almost all tasks and every day will feel like you are in a war of some type. Multiple review presentations for multiple heads and the whole month will be spent in preparation of them. This team and this company is only good for the people who are right from the first date of incorporation.....because they are now used to this toxicity and have themselves become toxic. If you don't have money to buy even a single grain of rice only then join this team.
