I have been associated with AVEVA for a long and hence have been working with the same people for many years. There is flexibility in your work hours and there is less micromanagement from seniors. Leaves a generally approved without issues.

Dislikes

I do feel that growth and internal mobility are restricted at my level. Also producing consistent good results and satisfaction with an important client is not appreciated, which would not happen in any other MNC . Instead , management will remove employees from the clients account , despite performing well, just to see them fail. There are instances of nepotism which is surprising to see at a company as fair and reputed as AVEVA....Read More

Excellent Work culture and supportive colleagues. The variety of work opportunities keeps the work interesting. It is very different from monotonous work and constantly new kind of activities are available which keeps me motivated.

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike but there are areas of improvements. I guess it would help if the team was more enthusiastic and supportive about innovation. Our colleagues in other locations are more innovative even though they have less experience in delivering more projects than us. In Appraisal process sometimes there are gaps between expectations and available opportunities so that impacts the employee's judgement during the appraisal process. Sometimes (not always) the project is so tight scheduled that an employee's work-life balance gets disrupted for longer periods of time, i guess that can be improved by better planning and better co-ordination between sales team and project execution team....Read More

The 'services' function within the organisation is in a league of its own, and by that I mean if other functions are 7+ (out of 10), services are comfortably in the negative. Especially some practises in services are being lead by people who don't know what the practice does (The irony). Even though it's a primarily Product company, they're focussing on selling services at the cost of employee work life balance. There's extensive travel and you would not know about it. If you approach your manager for support, the reply you're likely to get is, "I cannot solve your personal problem for you". There are practises which are being lead by managers who know zero about the practice and they're surviving in the organisation by way of buttering up the bosses and bossing over their subordinates. If you ask for all for leave our work from home, it's been projected as though you have asked for a part of the manager's life whereas he takes leaves as he pleases. During meetings, he'll be doing some other work and own his mouth for a grand total of zero seconds and then portray that he's busy on client calls.
