The university is very supportive of young faculty and provides financial assistance in the form of travel grants to attend national and international seminars and conferences. There is very less work-related stress-weekdays are usually a 10am to 4:30 PM schedule. Salary is always on time, so are the increments. Promotions are not usually delayed, official work is smooth. Dislikes

Absence of work culture and ethics by some faculty - some of them rarely go to the class. Students mostly are somewhat mediocre. Not a very good place to work if you're looking for good networking with colleagues if other universities. Located at a remote place, difficult to stay at the campus residences because of lack of facilities. There is no good cafeteria at the university, no transportation facilities within the campus, barring a few auto rickshaws. Office politics is rampant-there is a clear Bengali vs Non-Bengali distinction in everything. And lastly, favoritism by senior colleagues is a big turn off....Read More

Work Details

To be honest, a little boring. But good if you want a hassle free work environment with flexible work hours and lots of holidays - we have a month long summer vacation and another 25 days of vacation during Durga Puja.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

I recently joined a new company, and within 10 days, I received a more attractive offer from another company. Can I resign without serving the notice period? Would declining any salary and relieving letter (Experience Letter) it easier for the company to agree to my departure?
